Many colleges and universities around the country are starting their Fall Semester.

Students have begun moving into their dorms, participating in various campus orientations, and preparing for their first week of classes.

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is no exception.

UMES is an HBCU—Historically Black College or University—situated on 1,100 acres of land in Princess Anne, Maryland.

The university is an 1890 Land Grant Institution and is a University System of Maryland Institution accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

UMES 30 debuted on Dec. 2, 2018. Over the past 8 months, show host Dr. Joshua K. Wright has interviewed a number of guests covering a wide variety of topics ranging from sports and athletics to self care and the environment.

This week's show will take a look back at some of the more memorable conversations Dr. Wright has had with his guests, including UMES President Dr. Heidi Anderson, UMES alumni/students/educators, author/historian Dr. Peter Levy, TIME Magazine senior sports writer Sean Gregory, 2-time Superbowl champion Dexter Manley, and others.

Throughout his life, Dexter Manley has had his share of demons, doggedly trying to outrun them while running down opposing , quarterbacks as a member of the Washington Redskins football team for several years during the 1980's.

Nicknamed the "Secretary of Defense", Manley was a two-time Super Bowl champion.
