Science suggests that melting polar ice caps, rising sea levels, and the increasing frequency of severe storms are all a result of a rapidly changing global climate, posing a threat to life on Earth as we know it.

With all that's happening, some might wonder what we as individuals can do to help stem the tide of climate change.

On this edition of UMES 30, we speak with local illustrator/writer Dana Simson.

Dana is a lifelong environmentalist and climate change activist. She has written a book titled Come Together: Handbook to Retool for the Future.

In it, Dana offers an easy to understand guide to taking proactive steps towards saving our planet.
