Dear Listeners,

I hope this message finds you safe and healthy! All of us at WESM are doing our part to balance our service of Jazz, Blues and NPR news with keeping our staff protected from COVID-19.

We are staggering the times when staff needs to be on site. Because many on staff are in the over-60 category (no matter how much we deny this), we are abiding by the stay-at-home directive as much as possible. Being a radio station, this is not easy to accomplish.

Our friends at Jazzworks, WESM’s music service, are capably filling in for Yancy, Angel, Brian, and Molly for the time being. Bob Studebaker, Helen Wigger and company will continue to swing during the day and night.

NPR is doing a fabulous job of keeping you informed during this critical time. Morning Edition, All Things Considered and all of the weekend NPR offerings remain here at 91.3 FM. And don’t forget Marketplace weeknights at 6:30!

Please remember that our service to you continues to cost money. We cancelled our on-air spring membership drive. We felt that during this health crisis, on-air fundraising would be inappropriate. If you would like to make a donation, you can just click here.

We can’t thank you enough, especially at this time in our nation’s history.

Please take care of yourself. We want you out there to enjoy great music when you need it, and NPR news to keep you informed!
