Brian can be heard weekdays on Afternoon Jazz from 1 to 4 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Afternoon Jazz features a blend of the latest mainstream jazz with big band/swing, bebop and some blues on the side every once in a while.

Brian also served as the station's Interim General Manager from July 2016 to August 2017.

WESM 91.3 FM will be presenting a new weekly half-hour talk/interview radio program called "UMES 30" starting Sunday, December 2 beginning at 10:30 a.m. 

The program will feature guests from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, as well as the local community and from around the country speaking on a wide variety of topics.

The show's host is Dr. Joshua K. Wright, a tenured associate professor of history and a coordinator of the Social Studies Teacher Education program at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.--Maryland's new Secretary of the Department of the Environment will visit the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on Earth Day.

Ben Grumbles will visit UMES between 9:30 and 11 am on Friday, April 22--Earth Day.

Secretary Grumbles plans to visit the new Engineering and Aviation Science building that recently opened on campus at the beginning of the current spring semester. The new building is home to two pilot-trainting simulators, as well as state-of-the-art radio and television production studios for students.

The Amphitheater at Heron Ponds is holding its first annual Blues, Brews & BBQ on Saturday, June 29th 2013. The venue is located in Delmar, Maryland. The day-long festival kicks off at noon with music from local blues performers, craft beer from local breweries, and some the most popular BBQ In town.

An alumni of the Thelonious Monk Institute, Parlato has been turning heads ever since she won the 2004 Thelonious Monk Institute International Vocal Competition with which she displayed a musical individuality loaded with paradoxical powers. Her sultry, intriguing voice and unique, rhythmically agile phrasing came with inescapable centripetal force; the more intimate and understated she sang, the more she drew listeners in.
