'Life Stories - Families: Fathers, Sons & Brothers' airs Sunday (June 7) at 1 pm on WESM-FM.

These are public radio stories made over many years, by producer Jay Allison -- working together with Christina Egloff, and friends, colleagues, neighbors, strangers and whoever would take the loan of one of his tape recorders. They are are stories about life as we find it, and record it.

U.S. Navy Blue Angels

OCEAN CITY, Md. – The first female pilot ever to fly with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels will be flying at the OC Air Show on June 13-14, 2015 in Ocean City, Md.

Marine Captain Katie Higgins is one of three Blue Angel pilots who fly the C-130 Hercules, known as “Fat Albert”. Higgins will be taking the controls during the Ocean City show. The cargo plane carries all the necessary personnel and supplies for the Blue Angels performance and performs a demonstration for the crowd on Saturday and Sunday during the air show as well.

PRINCESS ANNE, Md.---The general public is invited to attend an interfaith prayer breakfast being hosted by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Dr. Juliette B. Bell, President of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, is inviting the general public to attend the President's Interfaith Prayer Breakfast to be held on Friday, April 17 beginning at 7:30 a.m.

The annual event is set to take place on the UMES campus in the Student Services Center Ballroom with complimentary breakfast and music.
